Title:  Equipping Your Crew for Smooth Sailing: A Wellness Journey Beyond EAP

The modern workplace, while increasingly connected through technology, is paradoxically experiencing a growing disconnect. In 2023, the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General sounded the alarm on “Our Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation.” This impacts not only employee well-being but also erodes engagement and productivity, hindering organizational success, especially in a society where employees spend more than 60% of their waking hours engaged with work, whether remote, hybrid, or onsite.

While Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) offer a basic life raft, their low utilization rates reveal a need for a more comprehensive approach to employee wellness. This session invites mid-sized companies to raise the sails and set a new course towards a culture of wellness that truly engages and supports their workforce. Led by Workplace Wellness Expert, Vanessa Zamy, this session will address how HR leaders can reignite employee purpose and champion well-being within their workplace.

    "Creating a Culture of Feedback"

    Overview:

Feedback is a giftI’ve been told that most of my career and truly believe it. I also believe that ingraining feedback, both giving and receiving, into an organization’s culture can be more impactful than many other concepts and processes. So, if it is so great, why are more organizations not practicing a culture of feedback? Easy answer, feedback is hard! Giving and receiving; positive and constructive. No wonder there are so many books, trainings and content about it. In this session, we will look at the root of feedback, how to deliver and receive it effectively, and how to begin to create a culture of feedback within your organization.

    Our agenda includes:

    1. A discussion on why feedback is critical in organizations and how it can be impactful
    2. What good feedback looks like: Giving & Receiving
    3. How to build a culture of feedback within your organization

    Learning objectives:

    • The importance of feedback within an organizational culture
    • How to give and receive feedback in the way that it will be most effective
    • The steps and processes HR professionals can use to build a culture of feedback within their organizations
