"Empowering HR Professionals; Strategies for Driving DEI in the Workplace"
Overview: The purpose of this presentation is to aid HR professionals to identify the intersectionality between Human Resources and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Attendees will understand the working definition of DEI, the importance of attracting, hiring, and retaining diverse talent while creating a space for inclusion and belonging in the workplace.
Objectives:
- Identify strategies for creating inclusive policies, practices, and processes within the organization.
- Identify tools and techniques for mitigating bias and promoting diversity and inclusion in hiring, promotion, and talent development.
- Increase a sense of awareness and commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
- Identify ways to empower and motivate organizations to become allies and advocate for diversity and inclusion.
Presenter: Tiffany Williams
Tiffany Williams (she/her) is the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager at Chickasaw Nation Industries. She serves as a change agent and thought leader in developing and executing workforce diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies. Tiffany works with leaders and employees to create programming around diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is passionate about creating positive change, advocacy, and inclusion of underrepresented groups in the workplace and community. Ms. Williams has a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Langston University and a Master's in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and she holds several graduate certificates in DEI with over a decade of experience in Human Resources and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Tiffany also serves on the Oklahoma City Human Resource Society (OCHRS) Diversity Council and the University of Central Oklahoma Master of Public Administration Board.
A boxed lunch will be served.
